I finally got some time to work on a big piece today. It has been a while.
One has to slow down in order to hear the inner-voice that is trying to speak. First you do one thing, then another, stand back and look, letting the next step “reveal” itself… And on and on it goes. One step at a time, no rushing, or else it’s ruined, because sometimes there’s no going back. There’s no “undo” button in painting, which forces you to think before you act.
If the only thing I learned to do in life was to “think before I act,” my world would change for the better, benefitting not only myself but those around me as well. So I am going to do my best to approach life like painting… Rather than the other way around, and see what happens.
