Held Friday October 3, 2014 at Joan Crone’s Lark Street Studio in San Diego, this was the second Gelli printing class that I offered to members of the SDBA. San Diego Book Arts, an organization that I belong to, and seem to be very involved with these days. The group is made up of folks that are amazingly talented book artists as well as fiber artists, illustrators, calligraphers, printmakers, and encaustic artists. I feel privileged to be among such a group of inspiring talents.
Our small class gathered for 4 hours of play, discovery and Gelli madness. The class size was limited due to the small studio, so the class filled fast. Scroll through the photos to see what fun we had!
I will be offering this class again. The next Playshop is November 15th, in Normal Heights (San Diego) and is half full. There are a few spots left… so if you are interested… send me an email and I will send you the info!
Nancy, these are awesome! So gorgeous. I LOVE LOVE LOVE how you use color. “Evocative” is the perfect descriptor.
Love it

Oh I love this post and your sweet gal… I had this idea, before kids, that my art supilpes would be separate to theirs… nope we all work together and often kids materials are fab for the job at hand and often they need to dive in and create with more grown-up tools… turns out we are all just artists together… some are just a lot shorter than others!!!
