All of us have something to give. A nugget. A kernel. A seed. Some knowledge, talent or ability that we can share with others either in the hope of passing along our passion or igniting their own.
For me, my nugget is ART, specifically Printing and Art Journaling. My joy has often been awakened by the teachings of fellow artists, and it is my profound hope that I can do the same in others. I’ve taught here and there at various workshops and retreats over the years (most recently at Art Groove), but my New Year’s Resolution for 2016 is to amp it up and expand the breadth of these teachings.
As I’ve discussed, this February I’ll be participating in an artist in residency program in Morocco for 6 weeks. When I return, I plan on using by newfound skills and renewed energies to conduct more classes of my own. I’ll most likely start off small, with one-day or weekend workshops here in San Diego and Southern California, but eventually I’d like to be the one teaching across the USA and in Morocco or Spain or India. Who’s in?
